Abstract: T-2 toxin belongs to a large group of trichothecene mycotoxins produced by various Fusarium molds. It is widely scattered in cereals and cereal, which can cause human and animal diseases.Concerning on its threat to the health of human and animals,T-2 toxin has been paid more attention. In this paper, recent advances in the toxicity of T-2 toxin are reviewed, including the biotransformation, metabolic pathways, the toxicological effects and the toxicological mechanisms of T-2 toxin. In addition, the present problems in the recent studies and the developing trend in research of T-2 toxin are discussed.
