I only have 2 actions list in the ConfigMgr Applet on my test client machine.  However, in SCCM the test client is listed with site code = AUS, client = Yes, Approved = Approved, Assigned = Yes and Active = Yes.  The test client is still fails to retrieve version for site 'AUS'.

On my SCCM server, the ConfigMgr Applet shows many actions.  I assume this means that my SCCM server can see the local MP.  However, the test client cannot see the remote MP.

On the SCCM machine, I installed IIS, WebDAV extentions, WDS role, Microsoft article ID 955262 (for SCCM against SQL Server 2008), SQL Server 2008 client tools, gave local machine account admin rights on remote SQL machine, configured a Server Locator Point (because I did not extend AD schema) and configured manager clients to find MP using DNS Publishing.  I also added a WINS record for MP_AUS, added a DNS record for "_mssms_mp_aus" and created appropriate SPN in AD.  Did I miss anyt prerequisites?
