About the role: We are looking for a [Project Buyer] who will join [Purchasing Product Development in Automotive Lighting & Sensing] team to manage the Costing, RFQ and Sourcing of mechanical components and Tools, reporting directly to [Head of Purchasing Product Development EMEA]; this position is based at our office in [Sosnowiec, Poland]. As [Purchasing Product Development Buyer], you will: Perform costing of mechanical components and tools in EMEA but not only. The position will also have the opportunity to participate in global projects.Participation in Design-to-cost process during product development and VAVE .Lead the RFQ and sourcing of mechanical parts and tools locally and potentially for other locations (in case of Global Projects) as per Marelli Direct Material Sourcing Procedure.Evaluate cost breakdown and cost structure of suppliers participating in the RFQ.Monitor Industrialization follow up of sourced parts at supplier, supporting product development on timing, cost samples availability and tools / equipment readiness for a safe launch plan.Secure Supply chain preparation in terms of timing, volumes and quality release of all purchased parts.Assist in the development and implementation of the Purchasing Strategy for mechanical parts and tools in collaboration with the Global Commodity Responsible. Within the project team to lead cross functional areas to support cost improvement initiatives and sourcing process (Program Management, R&D, Logistics, Supplier Development, Quality, etc).Support APQP activities leaded by Supplier Development for the items sourced. Secure safe launch.What you will bring: University degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Business.3 to 5 years experience in Purchasing or Development activities.Fluent in English.
