Henlo guys and gals! Obsessed over ChatGPT and its latest iteration ChatGPT-4? Move over these relics from the instant past and embrace the prowess of *drum rolls* AmitabhGPT! Not really, it’s a nameless chatbot developed for leisure by a desi with GPT 3.5 and Eleven Labs Voice AI.

Debarghya Das is a Cornell University educated, former Google Search engineer. He is the founder of AI startup Glean. The desi lad recently shared a clip of his conversation with a bot he developed that mimics Amitabh Bachchan’s voice. Edkm ditto! Now there are bots that already mimic celeb voices but…the catch here is. . .this one answers a query like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, in Amitabh’s baritone. Paytm’s chief Vijay Shekhar Sharma retweeted the Debarghya’s post with a cheeky remark for Big B. Sharma ji asks

Bachchan Sir, how accurate are these (replies), had you answered yourself. 50% or more than 50%?”

Not everyone agrees on the accent and voice of the chatbot. The familiar texture of AB’s soothing voice is missing. Imagine if this bot mimics the tonality of the actor too!

Naaah! Not really…. there is a very small part of the texture of his voice which is captured but delivery and content is not like him

And here comes the scary part. This can be misused in a million ways.

Thats amazing and scary as well.. this can be misused in million ways..and what about copyrights? Govt need to wake up and make laws for AI.
