significance of "strong joints and weak components" was described in the 

present paper.Principles and methods for design of joint of the roof of 

Jinan Olympic Center Stadium were also introduced in details.Methods for 

calculating the load of joint design and criterions for the estimation of 

joint satisfying the demand of "strong joints and weak components" were 

put forward.It may be a reference for engineering analysis and design.
