On the first day of the New Year or shortly thereafter, everybody wears new clothes and brings New Year Greetings to their relatives and friends, wishing each other good luck, happiness during the new year.

作名词时我们直接翻译成 New Year Greetings， 指新年问好，新年问候。除此之外，我们说拜年，其实是指下面两个行为：

一个是表示给别人送去新年祝福，用give one's New Year blessing to…来表达，译为“把……的新年祝福送给……”

例：I would like to give my New Year blessing to you.

译：我要给你我的新年祝福

另一个是表示，过年期间去亲戚、朋友家拜访。可以用pay a New Year visit to来表达，译为“去……拜年”
