课程概述
《思辨式英文写作》课程将思辨能力的培养与英语论说文写作教学有机结合,以思维训练为写作教学手段,以写作材料为思维训练素材,以思促写,以写促思,培养学生思辨能力的同时,提高学生英语写作水平。该课程定位为大学英语类课程,供旨在提高思辨能力和英语写作水平的学生选学。课程兼具工具性和人文性双重性质。就工具性而言,它旨在进一步提高学生的英语运用能力,特别是写作能力,使学生能够在国际交往中用准确的书面语言表达观点、进行沟通。就人文性而言,该课程通过培养学生的思辨能力,培养学生分析问题、解决问题、跨文化交际等21世纪核心素养。 课程学习目标 完成此课程学习,学生将: 知道思辨式写作的基本知识和要素; 运用书面英语就一般话题表达清晰明确的观点; 了解常见的5种论说方法; 运用常见的5中论说方法,进行说理论证,支撑观点; 掌握论说质量评价标准; 权衡他人的论说,并用书面英语进行有力支持或反驳; 综合运用写作和思辨知识,完成篇章写作; 对实际问题进行思辨,形成自己的判断,并进行论说; 以思辨精神审视自己的观点和写作,并进行修正; 使用规范英语准确进行书面表达。 课程教学内容 《思辨式英文写作》慕课教学内容分为(1)思辨能力训练;(2)英语写作知识与技巧;(3)书面英语常见问题三部分。以针对文章思想内容的思辨教学为主,以英语写作知识和书面表达教学为辅,实现内容与形式的有机结合。 证书要求单元测验,占总成绩25% 单元作业,占总成绩25% 课程考试,占总成绩50% 预备知识英语水平达到大学英语四级水平或与之相当程度。 授课大纲Lesson 1 Critical Thinking and Critical Writing Section 1 What Is Critical Thinking (I)?
