今天和大家分享小谱的随手笔记，学语言就是这样啦，随时随地学嘛。 1. “绿帽子” two-time vt.对……不忠 two-timer n.不忠之人 eg.She is two-timing me.她给我戴绿帽子了。 2. run into sb. 偶遇某人，恰巧碰到某人 eg.Yesterday I ran into an old friend of mine.昨天碰见一个老朋友。 3. I didn`t catch your name.我没听清你的名字。（当别人自我介绍时，你没听清对方的名字可以这么说，让对方再说一遍他的名字） 4. “丢脸”的两种说法： ①humiliating [hjuːˈmɪlieɪtɪŋ] eg.He was humiliated in front of everyone.他在所有人面前受辱了真丢脸。 ②embarrassing [ɪmˈbærəsɪŋ] eg.Not havig money when it`s time to pay the bill that`s very embarrassing.到结账的时候没钱是一件丢脸的事情。 5. “告别”有多少种说法： ① Goodbye! ② Bye bye! ③ I`ve gotta go. / I`ve got to go. ④ See you later! ⑤ Talk to you later! ⑥ Take care! 6. 我很喜欢…… I really like… （千万不要说成 I very like…哟） 7. hit the road 离开，上路 eg.① We`re hitting the road tomorrow.我们明天要上路了。 ② The party was awesome,but it`s about time we hit the road.聚会很棒，但是我们应该走了。 8. Wear many hats 表示（一个人）身兼很多角色，有很多能力 eg.Elon Musk is very smart,he has the ability to wear many hats.埃隆马斯克很聪明，他有能力身兼数职。 9. “不着急；别着急”的两种说法和区别： ①sleep on it 不着急。这里是用一个晚上的时间来想清楚，第二天再做决定的意思（注意，这里限定了“一个晚上”的时间） eg.It`s a tough decision .You can sleep on it , and tell me tomorrow. 这是个复杂的问题，你可以考虑一晚，明天再告诉我你的决定。 ②take your time 不着急，慢慢来。（注意，这里没有限定时间，可以是五分钟、一天或者一年……） eg.Oh,that`s fine,take your time.Whenever you decided,just let me know. 没问题，不用着急。等你决定了，告诉我就好。 10. “我的手机快没电了”的几种说法： ① I`m running out of juice. ② My phone is running out of battery. / My phone is running out of power. ③ I`m running out of battery. / I`m running out of power. ④ My phone is dyinng. 11. It`s about to… 表示什么事情快要发生了 eg. ① The class is about to start. 快上课了。 ② They are about to get home. 他们快到家了。 12. “概括说；简而言之；长话短说”的几种说法： ① to cut a long story short ② In a nutshell eg.In a nutshell,they decided to sell the apartment.简而言之，他们是想卖掉他们的房子。 13. “许多”的几种说法和区别： ① a few 一些，些许（不超过5次、个等） ② Several 一些（大于5小于10） ③ many 许多；数不清的（超过10） 14. I`m sorry,I didn`t mean it to… 抱歉，我不是想要……（当你说了让你后悔的话，对对方表示抱歉，意思是你没有要故意伤害别人） eg. I`m sorry,I didn`t mean it to embarrass you. 对不起，我不是故意让你难堪的。 15. address的三种意思 ① 地址 ② 处理 eg. We need to address this problem urgently. 我们要赶紧处理这个问题。 ③ 发表讲话 eg.Tomorrow the president will address the whole nation. 明天总统要向全国发表讲话。 16. kick out of 被开除出（某个团体） eg. He got kicked out of the football team because he was always late. 他因为经常迟到被开除出足球队了。 17. “我受不了了”的几种说法： ① I can`t take it anymore. ② I can`t bear it anymore. ③ I can`t satnd this anymore. 18. In terms of… 从某个方面来看…… eg. In terms of food it was great,but in terms of service it was bad. 从食物的口味来说还是很棒的，但是从服务来看太差了。 |
