I am experiencing an issue with joining my RHEL 8.8 server to a Windows Active Directory domain using the realm join command. Despite several troubleshooting steps, I am stuck with an authentication error related to SASL and GSSAPI. I'm hoping someone here might have encountered a similar issue or could offer some guidance.

When I attempt to join my RHEL 8.8 server to the Active Directory domain using the command realm join, I encounter the following error message:

I verified that I can successfully discover the domain using realm discover. I can authenticate using kinit with my domain admin account without any issues. Network tests like ping and nslookup on the domain controller and domain name succeed without any loss or errors.

The error seems to be related to Kerberos authentication, where the server is not found in the Kerberos database. I have checked the system time, and it is in sync with the domain controller.

Has anyone encountered this error related to SASL(-1) and GSSAPI with the message "Server not found in Kerberos database"? Any guidance on troubleshooting or resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.
