The Jharkhand government is planning to promote Netarhat as the destination for ecotourism and cultural tourism. House to lush greenery and pristine forests, Netarhat is situated at an altitude of 3,622 feet above sea level in the Latehar district of the state. Netarhat is a tiny hill station in Jharkhand. Also known as Queen of Chotanagpur (Chota Nagpur plateau), Netarhat is located 156 kilometres west of Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The town is famous for its picturesque waterfalls and verdant landscape. The hill station is famous for having some of the best spots to witness sunrises and sunsets. Netarhat is an underrated natural beauty that is now getting all the credit it deserves by making it Jharkhand’s ecotourism site. The government is taking on several initiatives to make Netarhat more tourist-friendly. The primary step is to have homestays at Netarhat. The objective is to show travellers the beautiful culture and traditions of the tribal community by making them live in the homestays. People are also being given hospitality and catering training, according to the Times of India.
Netarhat has many beautiful spots for nature lovers to explore! Magnolia Point is the place to witness all the beautiful sunrise and sunset. The Ghaghri waterfall is a quaint escape from the hustle and bustle as it is undiscovered and peaceful. If wildlife intrigues you, then Betla National Park should be on the list too! Betla is an acronym for Bison, Elephant, Tiger, Leopard and Axis, all the animals that you can spot at this National Park. It also has two beautiful forts within its premises. These beautiful destinations make Netarhat a wonderful ecotourism site.
