Before Alex Jones and Ronan Keating had a chance to chat with Donny Osmond during Thursday night's programme, he rushed over to The One Show sofa to take a selfie with the presenters.

Although, talk quickly turned to Donny's upcoming tour in the UK, which will begin in November.

The Puppy Love hitmaker explained he is finally allowed back in London because during the peak of his success, he and his brothers were banned.

"Yeah, I was banned from Heathrow back in the day. The Puppy Love days I call them," he said.

As they played a clip of a younger Donny Osmond in London, he continued: "We had to fly to Scotland take a train into into London."

Alex chipped in: "So now you're here because you're bringing your Vegas show to the UK."

"Guys, I found out something last night, this is so crazy," the singer explained.

"My manager called me and he said, 'this is the fastest selling tour you've had'. Obviously the Puppy Love days sold out within a hour and this is selling out within two hours."

He continued: "And it's so exciting because yes, I'm bringing my Vegas show to the UK, but there is a segment, I've always wanted to do this and technologically we can do it now.

"I put all 65 albums in the show. The audience can pick any song from any album, I put them on a huge screen and they can pick any song from any album."

"And we do it just like that, so the show changes every night," he added.

However, minutes into the conversation, viewers became distracted by Donny's appearance, with many asking why Donny was "wearing Gaffer tape" on his jacket.

Taking to Twitter, user @itsjordanmc asked: "Why does it look like Donny Osmond has had his jacket duct/gaffer taped...?"

"Nice use of duct tape Donny," @Paul81625916 joked as Stephen Benjamin quizzed: "Why is Donny Osmond’s jacket covered in gaffer tape?"

@TALLAGHTCHAP quipped: "He’s been to screw fix for gaffa tape."

While @whatkatydid_nxt added: "What the heck has Donny Osmond done to his face? He looks like Lionel Blair!" (sic)

@JackiHicks echoed: "Oh Donny, as much as I love you I do think your hair should be grey by now @donnyosmond."

Some viewers also loved the fact Donny seemed to take over Alex and Ronan's interview with actress Bel Powley.
