Microsoft embedded ChatGPT into Office, leveraging AI automatically creates a PowerPoint presentation. The speed of AI development continues to astound me. I remember the first time I heard about neural networks, and it feels like only yesterday. Even then, generative adversarial networks (popular for text-to-image synthesis) were already causing a stir. And then stable diffusion models come, which are more steerable and have more advantages on text-to-image tasks...in addition the language models such as chatgpt, LLaMA and many others in different fields. Every day, we can see the emergence of new AI applications, with discussions surrounding ethical AI becoming increasingly prevalent. As the field evolves, it brings both exciting opportunities and challenges. In the words of Charles Dickens, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times." Either way, I am looking forward to being a part of it.
