It does need an air cooler or AIO liquid cooling (altough liquid cooling is riskier and more costful), i have been gaming for 3 months with Intel´s stock cooler and temps reach 100c during 144fps 1080p gaming Great performance It does heat up quite a bit I wouldnt recommend it today, but i would have recommended it in 2021
