Tuition and other fees listed in the following table apply to research students for Academic Years 2023-24 and 2024-25. For details of fee policy, please refer to the Research Student Handbook at URL address: https://www.polyu.edu.hk/gs/rpghandbook/section14-1/ Table of tuition and other charges HK$ Tuition fee (Note 1) MPhil/PhD Full-time students (without stipend) MPhil/PhD Full-time students (with stipend) MPhil/PhD Part-time students 84,200 / annum 42,100 / annum 42,100 / annum Continuation fee (after expiry of the normal study period) 10,525 / 6 months (for students admitted on or before the 2016-17 cohort) 7,017 per semester / term (for students admitted on or after the 2017-18 cohort) Application fee 300 Caution money (chargeable to all students at first registration and refundable on official withdrawal from the University, subject to no claim being outstanding and the return of the student identity card. Notes: Starting from 2018-19 academic year, the Hong Kong SAR Government provides tuition waiver for all local students enrolled in full-time UGC-funded research postgraduate programmes during the normal study period.
