猫咪篇 Cats

【例句】

There were cats yowling outside my window last night.

昨晚有猫在我窗外嚎叫。  

【例句】

The little cat purred when I stroked it. 

小猫在我轻抚它时发出呼噜声。

【例句】

My cat continues to mew when it is hungry.

我的猫咪肚子饿时会一直喵喵叫。

注：宝可梦 "梦幻" 的英语就是 mew 喔！

【例句】

形容猫咪为了捕捉东西，快速移动或跳跃

【例句】

狗狗篇 Dogs

常指小狗短促尖锐的吠叫声

【例句】

The little dog always yaps at strangers.

那只小狗总是对陌生人狂吠。

常指狗狗大声吠叫

【例句】

The dogs barked at each other. 

那些狗对彼此吠叫。

形容狗狗露出牙齿，发出低沉的吼叫。这时的狗狗通常具有攻击性！

【例句】

The two dogs snarled at each other to fight for territory.

那两只狗为了争取地盘，互相龇牙低吼。

此动词常用于狗或狼哀戚的嚎叫声

【例句】

Una's dog has been howling for the entire night.

Una 的狗已经嚎叫了一整晚。

形容狗狗愤怒、低沉的吼叫

【例句】

The angry dog growled at her angrily because she took away its food.

那只狗狗对着她生气地低吼，因为她把它的食物拿走了。

通常指狗狗因疼痛而发出尖锐、短促的叫声

【例句】

The dog yelped as someone carelessly stepped on its foot. 

有人不小心踩到那只狗的脚时，它便尖叫起来。

The dog continued to whine when his owner left him alone at home. 

这只狗在主人留它自己在家的时候不断哀鸣。

形容狗狗蹲坐举前脚于胸前，好像在说： "拜托，拜托！" 

【例句】

My dog sits up and begs when it is asking for food. 

我的狗要食物时会两腿直立，做乞求动作。

【例句】

I saw a dog worrying sheeps on the farm.

我看到农场上有只狗攻击羊只。

【例句】

I have successfully trained my dog to retrieve balls.
