为了孩子提升英语水平，我给他借来本书。可是他望而生畏，为了不浪费，我不得已啃起来，第一次看英文小说。

我觉得：处在金字塔中间的人最好，没底层人的苦难和不幸，也没权贵的骄傲、野心。

But as abused prosperity is oftentimes made the very means of our greatest adversity so was it with me .

我觉得：所以说福祸相依。

It was in vain sit still and wish for what was not to be had ,and this extremity roused my application 。

我觉得：等待是没用的，要积极行动起来。

P80：But something always returned swift upon me to check these thoughts and to reprove ;and particularly one day ,walking with my gun in my hand by the seaside ,I was very pensive upon the subject of my present condition ,when Reason ,as it were ,expostulated with me t other way ,thus :" Well,you are in a desolate condition ,tis true ,but pray remember ,where are the rest of you ?Did not you come eleven of you into the boat ?Where are the ten ?Why were not they saved and you lost ?Why were you singled out ?Is it better to be here ,or there ?"And then pointed to the sea .All evils are to be considered with the good that is i them and with what worse attends them .

我觉得：所以要积极乐观点。

P87：So I went to work :and here I must needs observe ,that as reason is the substance and original of the mathematics ,so by stating and squaring everything by reason and by making the most rational judgment of things ,every man may be in time master of every mechanic art .

我觉得：要理智观察和判断。

总的感想：

鲁滨逊能如此成功，我觉得有两点：

1、大不幸中有万幸：九死一生，有船提供食物和物资，无野人无猛兽。

2、他本人勤劳且肯动脑筋。
