Brindle: Fawn coat moderately characterized by transversal dark brindling creating a ‘tiger-marked’ effect, strongly brindled coats must not cover out the fawn ground colour. A black mask may be present. Limited white spotting is admissible.

补充：

The nose is always black, in all coat colours, never brown or blue. The all-white subjects provided the edge of eyelids and nose are black – are admitted but not bred for, because of a risk of deafness.

无论被毛为何种颜色，鼻部颜色都应是黑色，棕色或者蓝色是不被接受的。整体白色，眼睑处和鼻部为黑色的犬也视为可以接受的，但不推荐作为种犬繁育下一代，因为此种颜色的犬有较高的失聪风险。

FCI认可的颜色总结为

黄褐色（fawn）、虎斑色（brindle）、黑白花（pied）和黄白花（fawn pied）。

注：

① 虎斑色和黄褐色允许少量白斑；

② 虎斑色可以有或没有黑面罩；

③ 黄褐色可以有或没有黑面罩，有黑面罩为佳；

④ 全白色，眼睑和鼻子为黑色的犬是可以接受的，但不推荐繁殖。

⑤ 杂色国内一般叫做“黑白花”，实际上黑不是纯黑，应该是带虎斑的，纯黑色是不对的。

FCI列为失格的颜色

Colour not in accordance with what is prescribed in the standard, namely black, black with fawn markings (black and tan) and all dilutions of black with or without white spotting.

颜色不符合犬种标准中规定的颜色，也就是说黑色，黑色和褐色（铁包金）及所有带或不带白斑的黑色的稀释色。

注：

① 黑色指单一、纯正的黑色，不带一点儿虎斑。（虎斑在深色狗身上有时不明显，也不排除有的狗在很小的时候看起来是黑色，长大后显现出虎斑。）

② 纯黑色与铁包金色并不是因为潜在遗传病的原因而是因为其色素遗传强势被列为禁止参赛和繁殖的范畴。

② 黑色的稀释色例如：蓝色（鼠灰）、肝色、丁香色等。

总结

标准没提到奶油色，也并无否认奶油色的暗示。奶油色法牛的基因有待进一步证实。

到底什么是奶油色？和白色的区别是什么？和浅黄褐色的关系是什么？奶油色的基因是什么？很多问题目前仍然悬而未决。无论你对奶油色抱以什么态度，都需要建立在一定的理论基础上，再加上自己的独立思考。

AKC认可的颜色

相对于FCI，AKC的颜色描述较清晰：

Acceptable colors - All brindle, fawn, white, brindle and white, and any color exceptthose which constitute disqualification.

认可的颜色：所有虎斑色、黄褐色、白色、虎斑和白色，及其他不属于失格色的颜色。

AKC列为失格的颜色

All colors are acceptable with the exception of solidblack, mouse, liver, black and tan, black and white, and white with black, which aredisqualifications. Black means black without a trace of brindle.

所有颜色均接受，以下颜色除外：全黑色、鼠灰色、肝色、黑色和棕褐色（铁包金）、黑色和白色，白色和黑色，是失格的。黑色指不带虎斑的黑色。

总结

认可的颜色有：虎斑色、黄褐色、白色、黑白花。

认可的颜色里AKC提到了白色（没说不建议繁殖），但是没说黄白花。然后又在介绍失格色时说，除以下失格颜色外其他颜色均接受，同样没提到黄白花。由此推测，黄白花和奶油色，属于除失格颜色外的“其他颜色”，即认可的。另外，黑面罩也没有提及。

KC认可的颜色

KC的标准就更加直接了：

The only correct colours are: Brindle; Fawn; Pied;

正确的颜色只有：虎斑色、黄褐色、杂色。

每个颜色说明如下

虎斑色：

Brindle – Colour pattern caused by a mixture of black hairs and fawn hairs. White markings permitted provided that brindle predominates. Eye rims, eyelashes and lips black.

虎斑色：由黑色和黄褐色毛发混合成的颜色样式，白斑是允许的，但虎斑应为主要部分。眼睑、睫毛、嘴唇为黑色。

黄褐色：

Fawn – Clear, self-coloured fawn with or without a black mask. White markings permitted, provided that fawn predominates. Cream and red shades less desirable.Eye rims, eyelashes and lips black.

Pied – Brindle Pied: White predominates with brindle patches. (The brindle as defined above). Fawn Pied: White predominates with fawn patches.

补充说明

Whites are classified with pieds for show purposes.

In pieds, eye rims, eyelashes and lips should preferably be black.

Any white in the above colours should be clear with no ticking or spots.

白色被列为杂色进行展示。

上述颜色中的白色应为净白，没有爆斑。

注：

① KC认可的颜色和FCI、AKC基本一致。

KC不认可的颜色

KC标准和FCI、AKC最大的不同就是没有规定失格的颜色，原文如下：

All other colours highly undesirable, including solid black, black and white, black and tan, mouse, grey/blue, liver/chocolate and all patterns of these colours (see Introductory Paragraph).

其他颜色高度不理想，包括纯黑、黑白、黑色和褐色（铁包金）、鼠灰、灰/蓝、肝色/巧克力色，以及这些颜色的所有样式。

KC只有“高度不理想”，并没有失格。即便如此，KC的比赛上并没有纯黑、铁包金、灰色、巧克力色等颜色的法牛。

通过回顾FCI、AKC和KC标准原文，基于最大共识，至少以下颜色是共同认可的：
