I want a cup of tea. → I would like a cup of tea. Can you pass me the salt? → Could you pass me the salt, please? I have to borrow your notes for last week. → May I borrow your notes for last week? Can you give me a lift? → I wondered if you could give me a lift. → I was wondering if you could give me a lift. → I am wondering if you can give me a lift. I want you to come to my wedding. → I was hoping you could come to my wedding. I think she is not suitable for the job. → I thought she is not suitable for the job. 这个用法常会跟 a bit, around, kind of, a few, quite, slightly, a little 一起搭配。 Could you copy me on the e-mail at around 2 pm? The budget is a bit large. I think the project is hard to launch. → Don't you think the project is a bit hard to launch? You need to check the list one more time. → Shouldn't we check the list one more time? 负面消息的婉转说法1. can't 改成 unable I can't finish the task by tomorrow. → I am unable to finish the task by tomorrow. (1) Unfortunately,... Unfortunately, we don't take credit cards. (2) I am afraid that… I am afraid that I am unable to have dinner with you tonight. (3) I am sorry… I am sorry to inform you that the meeting has been postponed. I hear what you're saying, but... I would love to go out with you, but I have to work. 【基础英语】Would you 和 Could you 到底差别在哪? Speak Confident English.
