NewJeans (뉴진스) is a five-member girl group under ADOR, a subsidiary label of HYBE. The group is notable for being formed and developed by Min Hee Jin, who was known to be the former creative director of SM Entertainment and worked closely on the concepts of Red Velvet, F(x), EXO, Girls Generation, and SHINee. Details about NewJeans were kept secret until they made their trailblazing debut on July 22, 2022 by releasing the single "Attention."

On August 1, 2022, NewJeans released their self-titled mini album and went on to earn the nickname 'monster rookies' after topping multiple domestic and international charts.
