平时我们碰到什么新鲜事都会想要“尝试一下”，这个用英文表达最简单的就是“have a try”或“give it a try”，后者美国英语中用得更多。

今天我们来学习一个不一样的表达，也是非常地道、常用的：

give it a shot

这个短语的意思和用法都相当于“give it a try”，可以替换使用。这其实是“shot”的其中一个含义：“attempt(尝试)”，如果知道这一词义，对这个表达就很熟悉了。
