The second one what are my students like.

Actually, they are about the average level of English in my school. They have basic English reading skills and they had learned the object clauses in the last lesson. They are eager to learn well, but sometimes they can't think deeply, so I need to arouse students deep thinking in class. Based on my analysis of my students and teaching material, according to the new English curriculum, by the end of the class, students will be able to master the use of keywords in this lesson. They can understand the passage and use the object clauses to write. Also, they learn to appreciate the beauty of nature and protect the environment.

Based on the objectives and the students’ level, I madeteaching key points anddifficult points as follow: understand the structure and improve reading skills; arouse students' deep thinking an use the object clauses to express.

As for teaching methods,

I arrange my lesson by mainly using the task-based language teaching and situational language teaching. The learning methods of this lesson are individual study and cooperate study.

The second partI would like to share it's aboutteaching procedures. They're 3 parts of the procedures: preparation practice and production, as you can see here.

Step 1: leading in. Talk about the experiences of visiting some places, students will get excited to talk with their classmates in English. The topic of this lesson is naturally led by discussing.

Step 2: students will learn the new words and expressions by watching a video and get familiar with the keywords and object clauses and know more about Zhangjiajie. That's also the knowledge objectives of this lesson. (张家界的介绍视频) Later, students are trying to use the object clauses to talk about Zhangjiajie, and it aims to activate the students' existing knowledge and motivate their interest.

Step 3 consists of 2 parts: fast reading and careful reading. In the first part, fast reading: students read the passage quickly and get the main idea. After finishing the exercises, students will understand the structure of the passage. It's written by time order. The purpose is to develop students’ ability of searching for information by skimming. The second part is careful reading, that is to read each paragraph carefully. And I set different kinds of exercises for further comprehension of the text. The exercises of paragraph one is to improve the reading skills, which is the teaching emphasis of this lesson by finding out the specific information, according to the keywords given.

After reading paragraph 2, students are supposed to use the object clauses to answer the 2 questions and then students will discuss about the topic. What will you do if you see a monkey in the wild? And, they know how to protect the animals after discussion. The purpose is to arouse students deep thinking. Another example of deep thinking of this lesson is in paragraph 3. Students learn to appreciate the beauty of Zhangjiajie and they know the importance of protecting the environment.

In paragraph 4, students continue to learn more about the object clauses by a micro class. I combined the reading activities with the object clauses and they know how to use the object clauses correctly after that.

Step 4: read after the video. It aims to improve students' pronunciation and get more details about the text.

Step 5: use the object clauses to talk about the local specialties in Liuzhou and write them down. The purpose is to encourage students to go back to our life and be proud of our city. Another purpose is to encourage students to practice to present and finally to produce.(课堂实录展示)

In Step 6: students summarize what they have learned in this lesson. The homework is about the topic: How to make our city better? Students can finish the homework in their own ways and learn from each other by sharing their homework.

Part 3 is about blackboard design.

It helps students to remember the key points of this lesson.

Part 4: Teaching reflection.

I think there are 2 highlights in my lesson. The first one is to combine English learning and information technology. The second one is to arouse students' deep thinking. Also, there are a few aspects to be improved. I should encourage more students to express themselves freely. And more time should be given to students to write in class and I think using the mind map to summarize is better. Finally, I hope I can make full use of the textbook and be a better teacher in the future. Thank you.
