题主用的alike是一个非常常用的单词，意思是“同样的”、“相似的”，可以做形容词(表示very similar)也可以做副词(表示in a very similar way)。

alike指事物在性质、特征或外貌上固有的而不是偶然的相似，也就是事物本来就有的属性相似，就像我们例句中提到的外貌、性格等，就可以用alike。

like含义广泛，指多个或全部特性都相似，也可指在某个特殊的偶然相似，这个比较泛，没有特定之处，比较通用。

similar强调不同的人或事物之间完全或部分相似，就像看法相同、事件相似巧合这种，我们就可以用similar。

parallel主要指在外表或在性质上相似到有可以相提并论的程度。因为parallel本来就有“相提并论”的意思，所以当我们看到一样东西极其相似，可以达到可以放在一起相提并论的时候，就可以用parallel了。比如，iPhone 8和iPhone 7外观看起来是一样的……(打个比喻，吐槽梗，果粉轻喷，毕竟从外观来看，iPhone6-8都是一样的，不少人吐槽今年iPhone 8创新之处就是玻璃机身而已。)
