This paper discusses the significance of, approach to, as well as the practical methods, assessment indicators and effects of integrating elements for the cultivation of morality into English major courses. Taking the "English Teaching and Research Course" as an example, this paper elaborates on the cultivation of morality in terms of talent cultivation, approaches, the sources of the materials, the theoretical basis, the methods for implementation, specific steps and effects in the teaching process. This study considers three aspects of morality cultivation, namely theories and practices in the teaching of English, hot-spot educational issues in China, and the integration of traditional Chinese thought into foreign language teaching in China. The study establishes a framework for the cultivation of morality, and constructs the implementation process model and the teaching system for cultivating morality, which contains universal features and can therefore be applied to the cultivation of morality in other foreign language major courses.
