After exactly eight(!) years Sony will finally update the current 85mm f/1.4 GM. Two trusted sources told me this lens will be in Stock by early Summer. Which usually means announcement will happen 1-2 months earlier (Spring). They didn’t want me to share the specs of the lens but unconfirmed rumors do suggest this to be a new 85mm f/1.4 GM II. it will be optcially much improved and slightly more compact.But there is a but…super wild rumors I got speculate about the possibility of a DOUBLE 85mm GM lens announcement with the second lens being faster than f/1.4!
