This occurs when you watch a video that uses audio codecs such as DTS-HD® Master Audio or Dolby® TrueHD. Check the following to resolve the issue:
Make sure to connect the TV and audio system using an HDMI® cable with Ethernet.Check if your audio system supports eARC and that the setting is enabled.
Check your device manual for model-specific information.
Make sure other external devices connected to the TV's HDMI ports support output from audio codecs, such as DTS-HD Master Audio or Dolby TrueHD.
Check your manual or contact the manufacturer for more information.
The TV doesn't support DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD from USB files, video streaming services, and broadcasts.Set the eARC mode to Auto:
Go to the Settings screen on the TV
Using the Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later)
Press the Quick Settings button on the remote control.Select Settings.
Using the HOME button
Press the HOME button on the remote control.Select Settings.
The next steps will depend on your TV menu:
Select Display and sound → Audio output → Audio system settings → eARC setting → Auto.Select Display & Sound → Audio output → eARC mode → AutoSelect Sound → eARC mode → Auto
Set the TV speaker output to Audio System:
Go to the Settings screen on the TV
Using the Quick Settings button (For models released in 2019 or later)
Press the Quick Settings button on the remote control.Select Settings.
Using the HOME button
Press the HOME button on the remote control.Select Settings.
Follow the steps below according to your TV menu.
Display & Sound → Audio output → Speakers → Audio systemSound → Speakers → Audio system
