事实上，华特·迪士尼跟朋友创作的第一版米老鼠，在设计细节上也有幸运兔奥斯华的影子[25]。创意不全都是凭空想象，常常是站在巨人的肩膀上，这个巨人可能是迪士尼自己，也有可能是其他的影视公司、内容创作者。

创作出来的IP版权终有一天都将失去，但创意是别人拿不走的。即使再过一百年，人们提到米老鼠，还是会想到迪士尼。

从这个角度来看，即便最终真的失去了米老鼠的版权，对迪士尼来说可能也没那么重要了。
