周末放松想和朋友一起出去玩，对于玩耍这个词我们一下子就能想起 play，但是怎么个 play 法？ play out？还是直接 out play？

out play？play out？

首先来讲并没有out play 这种说法，更不代表出去玩的意思。outplay连在一起倒是有球赛中击败，战胜，技能更胜一筹的意思。

He squeezes everything from his ship and can outplay the enemy in the most hopeless case.

依靠战机他能粉碎任何对手并在最无望的战斗中击败敌人。

其次play out也不是指出去玩，而是指事情以特定方式发展，发生，出现。

Let's wait and see how things play out.

事情如何进展，让我们拭目以待。

出去玩

表示出去玩的英语确实还有好几种表达呢！

play outside

第一个学习的表达是 play outside，在户外玩耍，外出游玩，不就是出去玩嘛！

When I was younger, I played outside 6with my friends every day after school.

我小时候每天放了学都和朋友们在外面玩。

Nowadays, I never see children playing outside.

但是现如今我从没看到孩子在外面玩。

go out to play

出去玩还有一种简单的说法是 go out to play，go out表示出门进行某项活动，加上to play就很通俗地表示出去玩。

I take my cap when I go out to play.

我出去玩的时候带上帽子。

Let's go out to play in the park.

我们去公园玩吧。

hang out

出去玩还可以用 hang out，表示在经常出没的地方厮混，和某人在一起厮混， 闲逛；闲荡；出去消遣。

The gang hangs out at the corner store.

那帮人在街角的商店闲逛。

➤ hang out with (someone): 和某人在一起，厮混

He spent a couple of days hanging out with his old friends.

他和几个老朋友待了两天。

hangout

hangout 写在一起作为一个单词的时候，还表示经常去的地方或者经常出没的地方。

The park was their favorite hangout.

公园是他们最喜欢逗留的地方。

hang (something) out

hang本身有悬挂的意思， hang something out 就表示把什么东西挂在外面，可以是把洗过的衣物挂在外头的绳子上以便吹干，也可以指窗户外面或者街上挂着的东西等。

I hung the laundry out on the clothesline.

我把洗好的衣服晾在晒衣绳上。

hang (someone/something) out to dry

在上面的短语的基础上加上 to dry可以指：使(某人或某物)处于无助或无保护的状态，不管不顾。

When things got tough, the company hung us out to dry.

当情况变糟糕时，公司对我们不管不顾。

出去玩是一件非常高兴的事情，接下来学习一些比 happy 更 happy的词汇吧！

表示非常开心的词汇

➤ thrilled

它的意思是极愉快的

She was thrilled to bits with her present.

她对她的礼物喜欢得不得了。

➤ elated兴高采烈的

She was elated to be chosen for the job.

被选中做这份工作使她欣喜若狂。

➤ delighted 高兴的，愉快的

She was delighted by the news of the wedding.

她听到婚礼的消息很高兴。

➤ upbeat ：乐观的；快乐的；积极向上的。

I tried to stay upbeat about losing the election.

对于落选我尽量保持好心态。

➤ chipper：兴高采烈的；欢快的。

She greeted me in a chipper voice.

她高兴地与我打招呼。

➤ ecstatic：欣喜若狂

He was ecstatic when he heard that he was going to be a father.

他得知要当父亲时不禁欣喜若狂。

➤ joyous：高兴的，令人愉快的，快乐的

The astronaut was welcomed with joyous,resounding acclaim.

人们欢声雷动地迎接那位宇航员。

➤ chuffed高兴，愉快，满足

I'm dead chuffed to have won.

我赢了后高兴得要死。

➤ blissful快乐的，幸福的

At first, their time together was blissful.

起初，他们在一起的时光是幸福的。

➤ cheerful欢快的，高兴的

She has a cheerful outlook on life.

她的人生观积极乐观。
