We went to TOYS EVERYWHERE--

and they were everywhere. I was amazed.

我们去各处有玩具的地方。

这里什么都有，我很吃惊。

My sister went right up to the science section

and picked out a microscope or something.

我妹妹直接去了科学区。

拿起来一个显微镜一样的东西。

Boy, is the easy to please. I just couldn't make up my mind.

男孩子，最容易被这些玩具俘获，我拿不定主意了。

Frist I wanted a whirring , zooming, flashing spaceship with a parachute.

首先我想要一个旋转的，可以缩放的，带降落伞的宇宙飞船。

Then I saw the Rough' n ' Ready Smasher Truck.

接着我又看到了那辆粗糙的U型加速卡车。

But I had always wanted a Mr.Build Me Set.

但是我一直想要一个 Mr.Build Me 装备。

Then I saw the Roaring,Stomping,Hopping Dinosaur.

接着我看到了咆哮，跺脚，跳跃的恐龙。

Dad said,"Time to make up your mind."

But I couldn't make up my mind. I was confused.

Finally, I picked the whirring, zooming, flashing spaceship with a parachute.

爸爸说，“到做决定的时候了。”

但是我拿不定主意，我很困惑。

最后，我拿起了一个旋转的，可以缩放的，带降落伞的宇宙飞船。

We stood in line.

But just as it was our turn at the cashier,

I knew for sure that I didn't want the whirring,

zooming, flashing spaceship with a parachute.

I wanted the Roaring, Stomping, Hopping Dinasaur.

我们站好排队。

但是就在轮到我们结账的时候，

我很确定我不想要这个旋转的，可以缩放的，带降落伞的宇宙飞船了。

我想要那个咆哮，跺脚，跳跃的恐龙。

"Dad, Dad!" I said. "We made a terrible mistake. I got the wrong toy."

“爸爸，爸爸！”我说。“我们出现了一个严重的错误，我拿错玩具了。”

Dad and my little sister didn't look very happy,

but we went back and got the dinosaur.

爸爸和我妹妹看起来不太高兴，

但是我们还是回去拿回了恐龙。

We had to stand in line all over again.

Dad paid and we went to the car.

I was happy and my little sister was happy.

我们不得不重新排队付款。

爸爸付完我们就上车了。

我很开心，我的妹妹也很开心。

But on the way home my dinosaur's head fell off.

I started to cry. Dad said, "Don't worry, I can fix it."

但是在我们回家的路上，我的恐龙玩具的头掉了。

我开始哭了起来。爸爸说，“不用担心的，我能给你修好。”

My little sister started collecting things to look at under dumb microscope.

I had to wait for Dad to fix my dinosaur.

我的妹妹开始在显微镜下观察收集的东西。

我只能等待爸爸为我修好我的恐龙玩具。

Finally, it was fixed. I thought I would fool my sister,

so I set my dinosaur on its loudest roar and snuck up behind her.

But my dinosaur didn't roar.

It just squeaked. She laughed.

最后，恐龙玩具修好了。我心里想可以愚弄下妹妹了。

于是我把恐龙的咆哮声调到最大，然后偷偷跟在妹妹身后。

但是我的恐龙没有发出咆哮声。

它只发出一点吱吱声，妹妹大笑起来。

Then I made it stomp real hard and it fell all to pieces.

My sister laughed some more. I cried.

然后我启动跺脚功能，它全都散开了。

我的妹妹笑得更厉害了，我又哭了。

Mom said, "Don't worry. Dad can fix it."

I Guess I threw a fit. I Screamed,

"I don't want a fixed toy. I want a new, unbroken toy, now!"

妈妈说，“不要担心，爸爸可以修好的。”

我想我快疯掉了，我尖叫着。

“我不要修过的玩具，我要新的，没有坏过的，现在就要！”

Mom sent me to my room until dinner.

妈妈在晚饭前把我送回家。

At dinner I Had to say I was sorry to everyone.

Then Mom said that tomorrow

Dad would take me back to the toy store for an exchange.

晚餐时我想对大家说对不起。

然后我妈妈说明天爸爸会带我去玩具店换个其他的。

The next day I had to wait all day long for Dad to get home from work.

It was the longest day of my life.

第二天，我不得不一天都在等待爸爸工作回家。

这是我生命里最漫长的一天。

Dad took me and my broken dinosaur to the toy store.

We went to the return counter and the lady gave me a slip.

爸爸带我和坏了的恐龙玩具去了玩具店。

我们返回柜台，这个女士给了我一张纸条。

I got the Mr.Build Me Set.

It's already in billions of pieces so there's nothing to break.

我得到了Mr.Build。

它有上亿个碎片，所以不用担心被破坏了。

Dad said, "Now do you feel better?

After all, it's just a toy."

I said, "Yeah, Dad, but it's a great toy!"

爸爸说，“现在感觉好点了吗？毕竟，它只是一个玩具而已。”

我说，“是的，爸爸，但是它是个很棒的玩具！”
