After the little chat, we took off to the theater and watched Furious 7.

闲聊了一下后，我们到电影院看了玩命关头七。

Me: “What do you think of the movie?"

Jake: “That movie was definitely the coolest! Vin Diesel was so cool!"

Me: “Yeah I know! The scene which they drove the car and flew through those skyscrapers was so cool!"

Jake: “It’s so sad that Paul Walker passed away. He was a cool guy."

Me: “Yeah, seriously."

我：「你觉得好看吗？」

Jake：「这绝对是最酷的电影了！冯迪索超酷！」

我：「噢对啊！尤其他们开车飞跃摩天大楼那段真是太酷了！」

We didn’t do anything special for the rest of the day, just hung around and talked. However, it’s always good to relax and chill with your best friend.

接下来的时间我们什么事都没做，只是在到处闲逛和聊天。然而，这种跟好朋友一起渡过的悠闲时光总是美好的。

全部都用 cool 虽然也可以通，却显得单调乏味，意思的表达也没那么到位。所以赶快来学学以下的单词吧！

1. Sweet

一般是甜的、甜美的、贴心的意思。也可以表示很正点、很棒、很赞。

Mr. Lin didn’t assign any homework today. Sweet!

林老师今天没出作业，太棒了！

Sweet 也可以用来形容穿着。

2. Awesome

极好的、惊叹的、令人敬畏的。

The concert last night was awesome! Some of my favorite pieces were performed.

昨晚的音乐会真是太精采了！他们演奏了一些我最爱的曲子。

3. Chill

平常表示寒冷的，也可以表示很酷。还有其他的意思像是 chill out 表示 calm down， chill with someone 表示 hang out with someone。

Collin 的酷在于他不同凡响的思考方式。

4. Dope

原意是指麻药和毒品，现在则广泛用于形容某人事物很酷、很屌、很潮。

The new Supreme x Champion collab hoodie is hella dope.

那件新的 Supreme 和 Champion 联名帽T实在太潮了。

Dope 可以用来形容很酷，但别误以为所有毒品都可以形容很酷，乱用的话会很好笑。

5. Tight

一般的意思是紧的、紧凑的，但在口语上也可以形容很酷、很屌、很潮。

Dude, you’re wearing some tight outfit today!

嘿，你今天穿得真帅！

6. Legit

其实是从 legitimate 演变成口语的用法。一般是指合法的、正统的、正当的，口语上也可以当 cool 使用。

What’s the name of this song? It’s legit!

这首歌好酷喔！它的歌名是什么？

注意，如果是用 seems legit 或是 sounds legit 的话，则是用来反讽一些事情很明显是假的。

If I take this pill I’ll grow 10 cm taller in one month? Well…seems legit.

如果我吃下这颗药就能在一个月内长高十公分？摁…最好是这样。

7. The Shit

这个用法跟 shit 有完全相反的意思，如果你说 something is shit 代表那东西很烂，但如果用 something is the shit 则代表那东西是最酷最屌的了。

VT is the shit! It made English learning such a fun thing to do.

VT 超棒的！它让英语学习轻松愉快。

除此之外， the shit 也常常用来表示加强语气，例如 I beat the shit out of him 表示我把他打得落花流水。

8. Badass

通常用来形容一个人很不好惹，是个狠角色。也可以用来形容很酷、很屌、很猛。

That dunk by Lebron James was so badass!

Lebron James 刚刚那球灌篮真是太猛了！

9. Sick

大家都知道 sick 是生病或是恶心的意思，但它也可以用来形容很酷、很屌。有点类似我们中文有时候会用很恶来形容某些人在某些方面强到一个有点变态、不合理的境界。

That dance move was so sick! Can you do it again?

刚刚那个舞步太变态了吧！你可以再做一次吗？

10. Swag

这个字来自 swagger，表示一个人的风格和态度。后来被广泛用来形容一个人在穿着或言行举止上面很有自己的特色。

Eminem’s got swag. No one is able to compete with his strong attitude.

阿姆很有个人魅力。没人能与他的态度匹敌。

学会了这些字之后，来把单调乏味的日记改写一下吧：

When I opened my eyes this morning, the window displayed a beautiful painting of nature. It was a blue sky topped with some white clouds and sunshine. “Oh, sweet! Today’s gonna be awesome!" I said, and jumped off the bed to get ready. I want to hang out with Jake, a chill guy and the best friend of mine.
