FeifeiAnyway, before he does anything, we need to do some onboarding.

NeilYou mean like getting on board a ship?

FeifeiSort of. 在商业用语中，“onboarding” 指 “新员工入职后熟悉业务、获得所需的知识、技能和工具以便成为组织中有效成员的过程”。So, we need to make our new recruit feel at home.

NeilI can do that – but let’s have some other examples of ‘onboarding’ first.

ExamplesWe’re onboarding some new recruits today, so please make them welcome.

The onboarding process includes learning this new computer software programme.

A familiarisation day is part of our onboarding strategy for all new employees.

NeilProbably! Do you want one now?
