28-快乐的日子《The Happy day》

今天跟大家分享的绘本，名字叫《The Happy Day》，荣获1950年美国凯迪克奖银奖，是由美国“儿童文学界巨人”的Ruth Krauss和绘本画家Marc Simont联合出品的。

这是一本黑白色调，散文诗般抒情优美的图画书。这本书最大的特色就是它的方向性，你看这几幅连续的画面，从冬眠中醒来的动物们纷纷朝着画的右方跑去，形成一股流淌着的、充满了动感的韵律，连我们也不知不觉地跟着动物们跑了起来！

Snow is falling.

The field mice are sleeping,

雪在下，田鼠在睡觉，

the bears are sleeping,

熊在睡觉，

the little snails sleep in their shells;

小蜗牛在它的壳里睡觉；

and the squirrels sleep in the trees,

松鼠在树里睡觉，

the ground hogs sleep in the ground.

土拨鼠在地里睡觉。

Now, they open their eyes.

They sniff. The field mice sniff,

现在它们睁开了眼睛，

the bears sniff,

30-自己的颜色《A Color of His Own》

今天要跟大家分享的是美国绘本大师Leo Lionni（李欧•李奥尼）的作品《A Color of His Own》，Leo Lionni被誉为“色彩魔术师”，他笔下的故事有趣又富有哲理。

这本绘本讲的是一只小变色龙的烦恼。变色龙没有固定的颜色，会随环境变化，可是这只小变色龙想拥有自己唯一的颜色，就像其他小动物那样，这可怎么办呢？

Parrots are green

鹦鹉是绿色的

Goldfish are red

金鱼是红色的

elephants are gray

大象是灰色的

Pigs are pink.

All animals have a color of their own.

猪是粉红色的。

所有的动物都有属于自己的颜色。

Expect for chameleons .

除了变色龙。

They change color wherever they go.

他们走到哪里，颜色也就变到哪里。

On lemons they are yellow.

遇到柠檬时它们可以变成黄色。

In the heather they are purple.

在杂草当中它们会变成紫色。

And>见到老虎的时候又把自己伪装成老虎的样子。

One day a chameleon who was sitting>“ If I remain> so I too will have a color of own”.

有一天，一只在老虎尾巴上的变色龙对自己说:

“如果我一直待在树叶上那我永远都是绿色，所以我也有属于自己的颜色”。

With this thought he cheerfully climbed>想着想着，它愉快地走到了绿叶上。

But in autumn the leaf turned yellow –and so did the chameleon.

但是当秋天来临，树叶变黄的时候，它也随着树叶变成了黄色。

Later the leaf turned red,

and the chameleon too turned red.

渐渐的，树叶变成了红色，

变色龙的颜色也随之变为红色。

And then the winter winds blew the leaf from the branch and with it the chameleon.

然后它便在冬日的冷风下随着树叶缓缓落下。

The chameleon was black in the long winter night.

最终变色龙在寒冬的夜里也随之变为黑色。

But when spring came he walked out into the green grass.

And there he met another chameleon.

He told his sad story .

"Won’t we ever have a color of our own?" he asked.

但是，当春天来临时，

它在绿色的草丛中遇到了另外一只变色龙。

它诉说了自己悲伤的故事，

怀疑的问道“是否真的有属于自己的颜色？”。

"I'm afraid not." said the other chameleon

who was older and wiser.

"But," he added,

"why don't we stay together?

“无论我们变成什么样子，都不可能有自己的颜色。”另一只变色龙说道，“既然这样，那我们为什么不一起生活呢？

we will still change color wherever we go,

but you and I will always be alike."

虽然我们可以随时改变自己的颜色，但是如果在一起，

我们就可以拥有相同的色彩。”

And so they remained side by side.

They were green together.

于是，他们肩并肩站到一起，

他们都变成绿色的了！

and purple

and yellow

还有紫色

还有黄色

and red with white polka dots

And they lived happy ever after.

以及红底白圆点的彩色，

最后它们幸福快乐的生活在了一起。
