Yes. It works most of the time but not some of the time. It's like any extreme condition causes it to sort of go on strike. Below freezing, takes a pic then seems to forget to get ready to take another. Plus one exposure compensation, gets really slow. Sun shining bright, most buttons don't work. So it will likely sit on a shelf from now on. I'll take it down every now and then to use as a comparison to future lenses and cameras.

AS you still have the camera there would be no harm in trying the hairdryer treatment.This thread and this more detailed thread explain.When my camera conked out and various buttons stopped working it was because of an issue at the shutter button.  All the things which stopped working were those that do not work when the shutter button is pressed.  So I am assuming a build up of grease or muck around the shutter button area was the problem.I aimed the hairdryer at the shutter button and warmed it up.  It got quite hot. And then everything started working.
