Gerry分享他刚去美国念书时的笑话：他在学校遇到一群同学，那天没有课，于是他大声说”I have no class today.”话一出口，同学都觉得好笑。

Have no class除了“没课”之外，也有“没品味、没格调”的意思，是个双关语。Class可以用作品味时（the quality of being stylish or fashionable），不可数。

例如：

She dresses with a lot of class.

她穿着很有品味。

PS：说到“没品位”，可能很多朋友都会想起“low”，自然而然的会说“He is too low.”这种中式表达，但是英语里面真的没有这个说法。

那么想说一个没品位、很“土”，用英语又要怎么说呢？

countrified 乡村的、土里土气的

例如：

It is difficult to understand that somebody would like to wear the countrified dress in this era.

实在很难理解，这年头还有什么人愿意让自己穿得很老土。

down-to-earth 实际的、朴实的、接地气的

例如：

Here is a very down to earth restaurant.

这里有一家很接地气的餐厅。

rustic 乡村的、纯朴的、粗野的

例如：

He is unsatisfying with her cousin's rustic dress.

他对她表妹土里土气的衣着不十分满意。

敲黑板：

可能有的朋友会问要怎么表达“我今天没课”，才不容易被误会。你可以这样说：

I don't have a class today.

I don't have any classes today
