As an important part of building the new power system with new energy as the mainstay, the distributed energy has clean, low-carbon and high-efficient characteristics, and is one of the effective measures to achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals in energy field. In order to speed up the construction of new power system and realize carbon peak and carbon neutrality as early as possible, it is necessary to study and understand the development of distributed energy at the current stage. By analyzing the current situation of China's energy structure and the development of clean energy, as well as the development status of three typical distributed energy sources, namely distributed photovoltaic, natural gas distributed and distributed wind power, this paper summarizes five problems in the development of distributed energy: development needs to be coordinated, cost needs to be reduced, electricity consumption needs to be increased, technology needs to be innovated and policies need to be improved. Based on this, by taking into account the relevant national policies, five suggestions are given out: increase policy support, make scientific proof of the project establishment, strengthen technological innovation, promote distributed energy to participate in the electricity market and encourage grid enterprises to actively cooperate with the development of distributed energy. It is pointed out that multi-energy complementary systems will be the development direction of efficient use of distributed energy.
