I do 3d camera programming, OpenCV, python, c#, c++, TensorFlow, Blender, Omniverse, VR, Unity and unreal so I'm getting value out of this hardware. I understand that a person that is just playing video games can do perfectly fine with a 3080. Programs I use like isaac-sim have a hardware recommendation of a 3080 so for me to be using a 3090 is not overkill. I have had my "Asus tuf oc 3090" for about a year and a half. At first the drivers at release were unfinished. Then win11 at release was unfinished especially VR. Now everything is rock solid... so far.
