　　塞缪尔.约翰逊（Samuel Johnson)这样来定义翻译：“ To translate is to change into another language, retaining as much of the sense as one can.　　卡特福特认为，翻译是用译语的等值文本材料去替换源语的文本材料。　　苏联翻译理论家费道罗夫（Fedorov)认为，一种语言的内容和形式在高度统 一的基础上传达着某些信息，翻译就是用另外一种语言将这些信息传达出来。　　美国著名翻译理论家尤金.奈达（Eugene A.
