We will see an upward trend in economic growth from now.  从现在起我们将看到经济增长上升的趋势。 

注解：  see an upward trend: 呈上升趋势  图表写作中说到上升，最常用的单词就是increase/ rise/ grow，如果需要表达“呈现上升趋势”，就会写成be increasing等。

换一个更为正式的表达方式，可以是see an upward trend，这里的see，替换成witness。

The land and property price rocketed to a record high.  土地和房地产价格飙涨至纪录新高。 

注解：  rocket to: 急速上升至  表示飙升，很多人可能就加上rapidly, quickly，或者very fast，这样表达确实可以表示快速增长的意思，但是总归不够地道，我们可以更简洁一些，就用rocket to，表示“急速上升至……”。

这个词组前面是rocket，就很好理解了，想想火箭的速度，也就能想象所描述信息上升之迅速了。 

If things such as prices or social problems rocket, they increase very quickly and suddenly.

The average thirty-year fixed-rate mortgage soared from 3.93% last week to 4.46% this week. 

本周30年期固定抵押贷款利率从上周的3.93％飙升至4.46％。 

注解：  soar to: 飞速上升至  除了rocket to，我们还可以用到soar to。

说到soar，大家比较熟知的应该是soar into the air，意思是“直冲云霄”，在文学作品中比较常见。

而soar还有一个意思，就是“急剧增加”。Soar to也就是“飞速上升至……”的意思。 

If the amount, value, level, or volume of something soars, it quickly increases by a great deal.

The figures showed that the unemployment rate peaked at 10.6% last year.  数据表明，失业率去年见顶于10.6%。 

注解：  peak at: 在某处达到最高点 

Peak一词是指山峰、高峰，与rocket to一样很好理解，也很形象。我们常听到的“峰值”，也是用peak来表达的，为peak value。 When something peaks, it reaches its highest value or its highest level.

The water levels are expected to reach the highest point in Prague.  布拉格水位预计将达到最高点。 

注解：  reach the highest point: 达到最高点 

前面两个表达，都包含了“某处”的含义，即需要描述上升到了哪个点，或者在哪个点达到了最高。

如果仅仅只是要表达“达到最高点”，我们可以使用reach the highest point，这是一个完全可以从字面来理解的词组，但表达上好过be the highest一类简单的表述。
