看了那么多童话故事，你是不是也曾想过在未来的某一天，会有一个帅气英俊的王子，骑着白马来寻你呢？

在中国的传说故事中，骑白马的要么是唐僧，要么是唱着“我身骑白马走三关”的薛平贵，所以“白马王子”的称呼肯定是国外传来的啦。

但英文中并没有用White Horse Prince或Prince White Horse 这样的固定用法来形容心仪的男生哦~

《汉英词典》中把白马王子直译为“prince on a white horse”，但同时也后缀解释为“Prince Charming”。《新世纪汉英大词典》中则干脆就把白马解释为了“ideal boyfriend; Prince Charming”。

文学作品中的第一位Prince Charming出现在奥斯卡•王尔德（Oscar Wilde）的小说《多里安•格雷的画像》（The Picture of Dorian Gray）里。小说中提到，美男子多里安•格雷在女演员西比尔•文心目中是一位Prince Charming。

而且仔细研究，童话故事中那些迷人的王子似乎也并没有骑白马的爱好。反倒是拿破仑之类的战斗将军，把白马看作是胜利的象征。

当然了，虽然白马王子并不是英文中形容真命天子的固定用法，但是“骑着白马迎接公主的王子”绝对是全世界女孩共同的美梦。

歌手泰勒·斯威夫特（Taylor Swift）更是曾有一首歌直接取名为《White Horse》，用来追忆已经分手的前男友。

对于心仪的王子一般闪闪发光的男生，英文中除了“Prince Charming”和大家都知道的“Mr.Right”以外，还有几个比较有趣的形容：

盔甲骑士，真命天子

在西方传说故事中，很多拯救落难少女于危难之中的往往不是王子，而是身披铠甲、堂吉诃德式的云游骑士。

美剧《了不起的麦瑟尔夫人》中，麦瑟尔夫人就曾用这句话向老公表白。

She's still waiting for a knight in shining armour to come and rescue her.

你是我的最爱

在美国俚语中常常会听到用“You are my lobster”来表达对伴侣的爱意。这是因为年纪很大的龙虾还是会手牵着手在海底散步的。于是，龙虾就成了坚贞不渝的爱情的代名词。

《老友记》中，Phoebe就曾“ she is your lobster”来形容Ross和Rachel的关系。

韩国电影《你是我的命运》选用的英文名称，就是You are my sunshine。
