(1) Easier said than done

这句话无需多解释，就是你认为的：说起来容易做起来难。

例句：

I agree with you, but that's easier said than done.

我同意你的看法，但是说起来容易，做起来难。

(2) Better late than never

这句话也很好理解，意为：迟做总比不做好。

例句：

It is two decades too late, but better late than never.

这已经晚了20年，但迟做总比不做好。

(3) Stronger than pig shit

这个俚语千万不要看成比猪粪还强壮，而是表示：非常健壮的，用作形容词。

例句：

He has a genius …stronger than pig shit.

他有天赋……健壮如牛。

(4) See no further than the end of one’s nose

这个俚语直译是“看不到比鼻子更远的地方”，延伸义为：目光短浅、胸襟狭窄、缺乏理智和觉悟，用做动词。

例句：

She is so selfish she can see no further than the end of her nose.她是那么自私，胸襟狭窄。

(5) Quicker than hell

(6) Older than God
