最近，年轻人中流行一种新的生活方式——FIRE。

FIRE 是Financially Independent, Retire Early的首字母缩写，指“经济独立，提前退休”。

随着996加班文化的盛行，人们开始重新审视生活。很多人加入了 FIRE 运动，崇尚理性消费、储蓄投资，希望实现财富和时间双自由。

近日，外国投资网站 investopedia.com 发布了一篇名为“Financial Independence, Retire Early (FIRE) Explained: How It Works” （经济独立，提前退休——如何操作）的文章，我们一起来阅读一下吧：

In recent years, many people—millennialsin particular—have embracedpursuinga FIRE retirement. Proponents of the extreme-saving lifestyle remain in the workforce for several years, saving up to 70% of their yearly income. When their savings reach approximately 30 times their yearlyexpenses, or roughly $1 million, they may quit their day jobs or retire from work altogether.
