On June 21, B.LEAGUE held an online press conference, in which chairman Shinji Shimada presented briefings on different elements of games.

Currently, fans cannot cheer aloud during live games in major sports games in Japan due to COVID reasons. In some J.LEAGUE (Japan’s professional football league) games, there are designated areas within the stadium where fans can cheer as loud as they want for their teams; especially if the stadium isn’t in full capacity at the time of the competition. This method is generally well-received by the fans.

In the briefings, Chairman Shimada noted his priority would be to have more full-capacity games for B.LEAGUE games. However, basketball venues tend to fill up easier than football stadiums, which lessen the chance for fans to loudly cheer for their teams. Although B.LEAGUE basketball continues to surge in popularity, we expect the lack of opportunities to loudly show support will drive away on-site fans.

In the first game, he scored a team-high 17 points, and in the second game, he played the longest of both teams with 34 minutes of playing time. Coach Choo Il-Seung explained, “Because he will be a key player in the Asia Cup, I gave him a lot of time to play in the evaluation matches.”

The team vowed to be “the best sixth man” in helping the city fight against COVID-19.

同样是球场，大小却不同。court球场，指的是木地板铺设的比赛区域；venue，场馆，大多是带屋顶和观众席的，略大；stadium，多用于足球场，容纳人数较多，多半是露天的，少数也带移动顶棚。

把天赋带到……如果我没记错的话，让这个句式在范围火爆起来的是NBA巨星勒布朗·詹姆斯宣布决定加入迈阿密热时说的那句话：

I'm going to take my talents to South Beach and join the Miami Heat.

G-League Showcase

名称是G联赛表演赛，但主要是表演给各NBA球队的球探、主教练或经理看的，具有强烈的试训性质。

the main role player

这4个单词放一起就有意思了，role player作为词组意思是：角色球员，那就是球场的配角，工具人；

main role放一起意思是：主要角色，主角。

那么，main role player放一起到底是主要的角色球员，还是主角球员呢？结合上下文，吕俊熙的得分和出场时间都领先全队，那当然是妥妥的主角了。所以我采用了意译，就是：挑起球队大梁。
