PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Analysis Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions Complete all month-end closing activities, including reconciliation preparation for various accounts/processes and journal entries Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements Managing planning, implementation, and execution of the budget process Developing and monitoring business performance metrics Monitor expense trends, identify operational improvements and recommend cost savings measures Assess ROI of capital projects by analyzing financial data and recommending appropriate investments Analyze customer trends and develop strategies to increase sales and profits Analyze production costs, inventory levels, pricing structures, sales activity reports and financial statements Ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed

Relationship Management Coordinating activities of external auditors Managing banking relationships Overseeing regulatory reporting, coordinating with outside CPA service Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure accuracy of bills and other documents

Cash Planning Analyze aged accounts receivable, investigate/resolve customer deductions and assist with collection and cash application, as needed Monitor accounts receivable/payable, billing/invoicing activities and complete in the absence of staff; ensure appropriate classification in the general ledger Provide cash flow forecasting and lead efforts to ensure liquidity

Management Understand business processes to identify and implement internal control and process improvement initiatives Assessing current accounting operations, including ERP internal control systems and offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline Minimum 5 years of relevant experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel Proficiency with Quickbooks Online or Desktop Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to deliver timely, accurate results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Analytical thinker who can quickly understand information and needs across a variety of products, technologies, and disciplines Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and government regulations
