good 是“好”

as good as 是“和……一样好”

「your guess is as good as mine」是“你的猜测和我的一样好”？

Nonono！大漏特漏！

其实大家都被误导了。

「as good as」的意思是“与…几乎一样、几乎、简直是”，英文释义为“very nearly”，没有强调“好”或者“不好。例如：

所以「your guess is as good as mine」直译是“你的猜测和我的一样”，但它通常用于回答对方提出的问题，这个问题对方不知道，我也不知道，所以就有“咱俩都一样，都没猜到、都不知道”但意思。

那么「your guess is as good as mine」的中文释义是“我和你一样不知道、我和你一样心中无数”，英语释义为“used to tell somebody that you do not know any more about a subject than the person that you are talking to does”，我们来看看在哪些场景下可以用这句话：

-"How long do you think we should have to wait for the bus?" - "Your guess is as good as mine.”

—“你觉得我们等车要等多久？” —“我也不知道。”

If you want to know which one is the best of these movies, well, your guess is as good as mine.

你想知道这些电影中哪个最好吗，老实说，我也不知道。

-"What's he doing?" -"Your guess is as good as mine."

—“他在做什么？” —“我也不清楚。”

总之「your guess is as good as mine」 I don't know, either.
