☑️ Be clear about your intention if possible.

让对方对你发出邀请的动机有个大概的了解，知道what to expect；但不用解释太多，你有一整个coffee chat的时间详聊，一句话能写明白的不要用两句话。如果实在想不出理由，可以说“I would like to catch up with you and was wondering if you would be available to meet up some time in the next two week” （如果对方实在很忙的话可能不会答应）

☑️ Offer your time availability & be flexible about the location.

在邮件里根据自己的schedule，清晰得给出几个你能与对方见面的时间段--对方没有时间与你来回聊天--但要让对方来决定具体的meeting时间；一般情况下coffee都最好约在对方工作地点附近，以对方的convenience为重。

☑️ Indicate that you “look forward to hearing back”.

这句话虽然客套，但也kindly remind了对方你在等待ta的答复。

☑️ Have a professional email signature.

邮件最后的落款最好有个和你自己business card一致的签名，你的phone number和 email，这样也方便以后联络。

如果对方婉拒或迟迟不回复你的邀请，也不要沮丧，因为很多business

professionals都非常忙，每天要回复上百封邮件，有很多更加紧急的priorities，可能短期内没有空余时间 。

若对方两到三周内都没有回复，可以”reply”自己之前的邮件（保持原邮件的标题）给对方一个简短的follow-up 类似于“Just want to follow up on my previous email…if you could confirm that you have received it that would be great”；也可以选择就此move on（取决于你与对方见面的愿望有多强烈）。但无论结果如何，放平心态放低期望，以后总有更多更好的机会！
