我比较赞同曾老师的解答。clove 和 segment 都可以表示“瓣”，但两者用法稍有不同：▲clove 主要指复合鳞茎的“瓣”，如蒜瓣。如：Add a large clove of garlic. 加一大瓣儿蒜。Heat a couple of tablespoons of olive oil, a chopped clove of garlic and some black pepper in a heavy saucepan. 将几勺橄榄油、一片切碎的蒜瓣和一些黑胡椒粉放入深平底锅里加热。▲segment 则主要橘子、橙子、柠檬等的“瓣”。如：grapefruit segments 葡萄柚瓣The salad was decorated with orange segments. 色拉用橘子瓣点缀着。She sucked each segment of the orange carefully. 她仔细地吸干了每一瓣橙子的汁液。‍‍▲另外，要表示“一瓣橘子”，也可用 a piece of orange。如：Lee broke off a small piece of orange and held it out to him.  李掰下一小瓣橘子递给他。
