Birdy原名Jasmine van den Bogaerde，Birdy則是祖父母替她取的乳名。1996年出生的Birdy年紀輕輕就才華出眾，專輯中有不少是與其他製作人一起合作，也有不少翻唱其他歌手的作品，但以她獨有風格演繹。Birdy的歌聲中有濃厚感情，歌詞也頗為成熟，十分有感染力。

Young Blood 是 Birdy 翻唱紐西蘭樂團The Naked and Famous的歌曲，主旨圍繞著青春的愛情。

青春年少時，我們的心總是蕩漾著，為了各式各樣的人事物翩翩起舞。或許曾經試過抵抗，曾經經歷挫折，曾經堅決信念，但最後，總是反抗不了突如其來的愛情。直到已陷入情感的枷鎖，想要逃跑時，才發覺我們是被自己綁住了，Feel it start to permeate，枷鎖早已從有形的外在枷鎖，滲透到自己心中。一直到我們心痛心碎，意識到走錯了路，我們才忍痛求對方及求自己放手。
