rositaAre you using Chrome? That’s a bug in Chrome’s TTS implementation that limits the speech to a couple of lines. wupengjiSince this converter relies on a database that uses a different, more computer-oriented system called ARPAbet instead of IPA, I think it’s converting ARPAbet to IPA one to one. wupengjiJust as Adam mentioned, /e/ is purely a convention while even its proponents admit that the phoneme has shifted to /ɛ/.
