nor 既是连词，也是否定副词。

与neither 一起连接两个并列成分时，是连词。

单独用于句首，表示 “也不；也没有” 时，是副词。引起本句主谓部分倒装。

连词用法：

It is neither hot nor cold in winter here.

这里冬天既不热也不冷。

He's neither an electrician nor a mechanic.

他既不是电工也不是技工。

Neither he nor I have free time.

他没有闲功夫，我也没有闲功夫。

We neither moved nor made any noise.

我们没有动也没有出声。

连词用法（nor 之前是逗号时）：

He had no money, nor did he know anyone he could borrow from. 

他没有钱，他也不认识他可以借钱的人。

Balzac did not smoke cigarettes, nor did he drink any alcohol. 

巴尔扎克既不抽烟，也不喝酒。

Neither do I know her address，nor does he. 

我不知道她的地址，他也不知道。

副词用法（nor 之前是分号、句号或有and 时）：

He does not do it； nor does he try. 

他不做那事，也从没尝试一下。

He does not do it and nor does he try. 

他不做那事，也从没尝试一下。

Nor did he hate the Nazis individually, except for Streicher. 

他也不痛恨纳粹，除了施特莱歇尔。

“I never like smoking.”——"Nor do I.”   

“我从不喜欢抽烟。”——“我也不喜欢。”
