一、首先讨论最令人困惑的realize的用法。

中学英语教材片面强化了realize“实现”的意思，因此论文写作中会出现滥用realize 的情形，例如using deep neural networks to realize face recognition.（利用深度神经网络实现人脸识别。）

realize 侧重于实现一个“纯”理论、“纯”思想的东西，例如梦想、纯概念，例如：We’re determined to realize our dreams.（我们决心实现我们的梦想。）We defined a new data type and realized it using lists.（我们定义了一种新的数据类型，并利用表实现了这种类型。）We conceived a new cryptographic primitive and realized it by adopting a combination of ……（我们设计了一个新密码原语并通过……的组合实现了。）

realize 的基本意思是“意识到”，不过那与本文无关，就不涉及了。

二、achieve 是写作中的高频词，它的主要用法如下：

to achieve the goal/target/destination/functionality/……

to achieve interaction/recognition/identification/deep learning/……

to achieve security/robustness/scalability/availability/……

to achieve high speed/low cost/low complexity/low bandwidth/……

三、accomplish、fulfill 可以替代achieve，避免achieve 的过多使用，但不可滥用。这里就没必要举例了。
